We are finally starting to get into the swing of school, a new routine and trying to adjust to new changes headed our way...
MEG- She has just started gymnastics and going twice a week. She is liking it so much and doing back bends, cartwheels and hand stands all over the place. She is also still doing dance and is loving kindergarten. I went to PTC last night and expected only good things from her teacher. Which was true and she is doing so great! I do worry a little about her friends at school though. I know she is only in kindergarten and I shouldn't be to concerned about who she is playing with but she seems to be drawn to the mean little girls. I can't believe how manipulative and bitchy these little girls are at such a young age. It is like they are intentionally trying to hurt her feelings.
I had to get upset the other day with a girl she plays with sometimes. She told Meg that she was not going to be her friend any more and will never come here to play again if Meg doesn't do what she says. I might have not gotten so upset if this was the first time she had said this but it has happened before. After I told her we do not say that to our friends and a few other things I left the room and heard her say to meg," You said your mom was nice and she is not. She is sooooo mean!" I can't believe that I was so mad about this but Meg is such a nice girl and I wish she could find a nice friend to play with. I also don't know many of the moms and girls yet but hope to as the year goes on. I know it seems all super silly but I am new to all this stuff!
AVA-Is so excited each morning she gets to go to school. Every day that Meg goes she is very upset that she does not get to. I think we both wish she went every day. The first week of school I chatted with her teacher to see how she was doing and she said, " Ava is struggling with authority but we are working on it!" Something I very much expected to hear but at PTC last week her teacher says she is doing so great and is turning into such a little sweetheart and all the teachers are just eating her up.
She is talking a ton and is saying so many things I feel she shouldn't be able to and in the last 2 weeks she is no longer taking naps, a love hate thing for me! She is still SO WHINY! It is hard to believe a child can whine that much. It doesn't work well with my patience but on a happy note she is loving dance, story time at night and playing with Bentley! Oh and her very fav song is Poker Face.
Together Meg and Ava are all or nothing. They are either playing super nice or fighting like crazy. They no longer take tubs together or sit by each other at the table which keeps me from being a mean mom and them from bugging each other. They are getting to the point where if Meg goes then Ava has to too. Meg has had a jewel jar for awhile but we just got one for Ava and it seems to be helping. I thought she was a little to young to understand it but she is definitely getting it. I think she will really get it when she gets to pick her prize when it is full!
LANCE-is work, work and a little more work! He has been working most weekends for the last 2 months and lots of late nights. He is still super busy with work and just hired a new guy. I know we should be super grateful that he is still busy, which I am, but I still hate construction!
RIS-I feel like I have been beyond busy with so many things. Like everyone else there is just not enough hours in the day to get it all done. I look most forward to my Tuesday morning all to myself, to AM workouts, and nights sitting on the couch with Lance. Most of these things have been a little hard to come by lately.
One of the things I wanted to start doing in Sept was to take the Savvy Shopper class. I did and it was awesome. I hate to go to the grocery store, hate how much it costs and also hate to cook. I have found a new love of the store but not so much of cooking yet. Who would of ever thought I would love coupons, not me but I do. I never really paid to much attention to how much things cost cause if you need them you need them. Now it is so much fun to go to the store and get things for free or even the 6 boxes of Keebler cookies for $1.62 which is what I paid yesterday. I saved $17.00. CRAZY!
It will also start to help with my food storage which Lance has been bugging me about and I didn't think it was possible for my house to get any more organized but it has since doing this. I can't find anything cause I keep moving them but am extremely aware of what we need now. We also have started recycling, DON'T JUDGE, ESPECIALLY YOU MIKE=)Meg was so super excited to see our recycling can outside! Now is the time!
I have also been going through all of our company bills, insurance, personal and everything else and making sure I am not paying any more that I should. I took about $6000.00 off a year in bills by doing that. I'll bet most of us pay way more than we should. Now if I could just do something for our health insurnace. With as crazy and unsure everything is right now I want to make sure we are taken care of.
The downfall now! We are loosing a meem and a pa. My parents are moving to Las Vegas. This has been a very hard thing for all of us. Aren't kids suppose to move away from their parents and not the other way around??? What do I really do with out them 5 minutes away. I struggled moving 10 blocks away from them let alone 2 1/2 movies away (How long we told Meg it would take to get there). I am so excited for the new amazing opportunities that will come to them by moving and we will also get to see Jenn more having a place to meet in the middle. So it's hard for me to be to upset but I am really sad for my girls. After they had a yard sale and sold pretty much everything I needed to talk to Meg. She just thought they were having a yard sale. That night I talk to her and told her what was happening and she said to me,"Will I ever see them again?" Pretty rough! So she cried then I cried. I pulled it together and said they wouldn't be very far(2 1/2 movies), she gets to see her cousins more and meem will have a pool. So she has been pretty good after that. Ava does not get it, yet anyway!
I also didn't expect to be sad about leaving the house. I grew up there and have so many memories there. Lots of great parties while the parents were in Wendover, I am sure you all remember! Holidays and just so many things. It will be very hard to walk in there for the last time and never go back! We have had so many things this year that make me feel so grown up. To be dealing with things that we were all not ready for. Thankfully they are all working out.
I am ready for a new year. To feel a fresh start and to get out of 2009. I really shouldn't say that, it will be here in 2 seconds. I am excited for a few projects that I am starting and hopefully a few new beginnings.

I had such a frown on my face when I was reading about sweet Meg and the MEAN girls. Ele and Meg are sooooooooooooooo much a like. I HATE some of the girls she plays with and want to smack them! We need to get them together. I Think they would have a good NICE time:D
AND I do remember all those FUN nights at your parents house when they were in Wendover!!:D
Hard when things change, but also exciting to see what is to come.
I too am looking forward to a new year.
Lots of love XOXOXOXO
That one makes me so sad! It makes me so mad that those little brats are mean to Meggy! You tell them that her Aunt will kick their asses! :) Im so sad that I wont see the house again before they move and that you arent all moving here! We will for sure make it better by having lots of meet in the middles! I miss you guys so much and hopefully this will be a way to see you all more! You always have a full plate but it seems like things are starting to come together for you guys and next year will be better! I love you guys lots!
It is so hard to watch the bitchy girls at school! Ady has been having the same problem. We need to get them together again soon. They get along so well.
Sounds like you are all so busy. Let me know when you have some free time for the girls to play!
I want the names and the address of that little girl. I dont know what I would of done in that situation.... Life is rough! But we are a close knit bunch and we will get through this with probably a better outcome than what are cards are saying for us now!! Love you
You guys are really busy. I guess life out in the sticks makes it slow down a bit. Man you brought tears to my eyes talking about parents moving. That would be hard. It was hard for me when my parents moved out of my house I grew up in. It was just always so secure there. Good luck with the rest of the busy year.
Kelly told me about the Savvy Shopper classes, it sounds great. I can't believe your parents are moving, how sad. At least they are within driving distance! Vegas is always a fun vacation spot, especially during the winter.
I can't believe your mom and dad are moving. That will be fun for you to go and visit though. I really miss all you girls. We need to get together.
Ris, I can't believe your mom and dad are moving!!! Don't ask me what I would do if my parents were moving away I would probably be crying everyday!! Baylee was just looking at her last years school picture and was saying she missed all her old friends we really need to get those to together if we can find the time in our busy schedules.
