HAPPY EASTER

Saturday night we met for enchiladas and to color eggs. We were definitely lacking quite a few of our clan but we still had a great time.

This year I felt completely unprepared for Easter. I think there has been way to much going on that I cannot get it all done as I would normally like. Meggy got up about 6:30 and I made her get in bed with me till 7:30 when Ava got up. After seeing what the Easter Bunny brought the girls we spent the morning blowing bubbles, playing with chalk, eating our Sunday chocolate doughnuts but no coupons to go with them and reading. It was a very mellow morning! Even though we missed Lance being here it still turned out great and the girls were very excited that the Easter bunny came.

On Sunday the family came over for Easter linner about 3. Followed with egg hunting, prizes, strawberry shortcake and lots of treats. It was a really good Easter!

BIRTHDAYS

Again this year we decided to do a combo family birthday for Lance and Ava. Lance's birthday was on the 10Th and Ava's on the 20Th. Lance wanted mint brownies with ice cream and Ava wanted cupcakes. It was perfect.

Since it has been so crazy around here lately I really struggled on what to do for Ava's friend party until the last minute. She kept changing between movies, Build-a-Bear, bowling and Kangaroo Zoo. Lance was leaving out of town at 3 on her birthday so I got him all morning to help with the kids. We decided to do pizza and root beer floats and then take them to Kangaroo Zoo. It turned out fabulous and the kids all got along and played great!

*before we go anywhere I have to warn her not to hang or love on strangers or her teachers

GAGE'S GRADUATION

Tonight we went to Gage's graduation from fire school. We are all so proud of him and how great he and Meagan are doing. I know he was so sad that my dad could not be there to tell him how proud he was but of all moments that we have had without my dad so far this is the one I knew he was for sure there for and he was definitely proud!
We love you so much Gage and your going to make the best fireman!!!

SPRING BREAK

This year for spring break we did pretty much nothing the entire week. We will never do that again. Meg and Ava we not feeling super well and there just wasn't much to do with the weather being so crappy.
We did go to the park for a couple of hours one day for a picnic which was so nice to get out and we did get to go see the firetrucks with Gage. Meg had been waiting to do this for awhile. The girls loved them and we even got a ride in one. After we were done we went over to Meagan's grandpas to pet the chicks. They were pretty cute!
