BOARDING WITH THE FAM

We spent the day at Sundance for a much needed trip of boarding. It has been 7 years since I have been boarding, it took a little bit to get back into it but I loved it. It was also so great to be able to go with the fam thanks to meem and pa watching all the girls!

BINK AND POTTY UPDATE

It has now been 1 week since we gave the binks up. She has mentioned it a few times while crying but that is it. We are officially done with the bink. It really went so well!
On Sundee I bought Ava a pack of Nick cartoon panties just hoping to get her excited. I am not the mom that takes a week off to stay in the house to potty train. I just let them hang in panties while we are at home and slowly transition into them. I am also not a big fan of pull ups. Beginning Monday Ava has only been in panties and diapers at night with only 2 accidents, while on Lances watch =). On Saturday morning, 5 days after starting to wear panties, I got up to get Ava out of bed about 8:20. I am sure she probably had been awake for at least 20 minutes and when I walked in she said, Mom I need to go potty. She did not pee in her diaper and waited for the potty. That is so crazy and I am so impressed that she waited. I also love that when she can't go I will say to her, where are your pee pees at? She will say, they are in my circle mom! I am not sure why she calls her hoo hoo and circle but pretty cute. Meg was really easy to potty train but I think Ava has been even easier. Maybe it is because she is such my treat girl and every time she goes she gets to pick a candy out of the jar.
So so excited to have bought the last box of diapers!!!

BYE BYE BINK

Lately all that Ava wants to do is to get into bed and have a rest. I think the only reason she wants to is because her bink is in there. Normally at 2 years old binks are allowed only at bed and nap time so they stay in there. Once they turn 3 it is gone. Ava still has a couple months until 3 but she was becoming way to attached to it so we decided it was time to get rid of it.
Saturday we took her to Build-A-Bear to trade in the binks for the bear. She was very excited about it all and kissed the 2 binks good bye before they sewed them into the belly. She named her bear Selma??? Everything was great until that night. She cried for a good hour and kept asking for at least just one bink not two and to take them out of the bear. I don't think it helped that she fell asleep in the car on the way home and then woke up. Lance rocked and I rocked till she finally fell asleep. Very Sad! Night two she asked a couple times but no crying and night 3 not even a word. So I guess it turned out to be the right time to do this. Next we are on to potty training=(

ROAD TRIP

About a week before Christmas Lance told me he was going to take from Christmas to New Years off. I said what should we do, go on a road trip? I was just kidding but he was on it and that is what we did.
LAS VEGAS:
We left Saturday the 26Th and headed into Las Vegas to stay with Lances sister and her family. We got there about 4 and Adrienne made dinner for us, which is my fave cause I hate to make dinner then we all headed to the movie. I took the three girls to see Princess and the Frog while Adrienne, Lance, Kyson, Brooks and Ella went to see Avatar. I did not have my camera out yet so no pics which I am very sad about. The next morning we haded into California. We made a pit stop in Primm to shop at the outlets. NO GOOD! We will not do that again plus there is not really any good places to shop there.
HUNTINGTON BEACH:
We made in into Huntington about 5 and YEAH, Jenn had dinner all ready for us! That night we just hung out and chatted! The next afternoon, Monday, the boys went golfing while Jenn and I took the girls shopping and to lunch at South Coast. We didn't buy much but still had such a great time. That night we had dinner at the house and went hot tubbing. Tuesday morning we headed to Downtown and the beach. The weather was amazing and the girls LOVED the beach. We lucked out on everything falling so much into place this trip. That night we went to dinner to have fish tacos and it was $1.00 taco night! They were super yummy! Then they had blocked off Downtown and had a lots of booths and vender's there. The girls even got balloon animals from Cinderella.
We also got to meet little Jack! He is so cute and the girls loved him. I think Jack liked them too even though he hid from Ava most of the time. Also I think Lance un did all of the training that they had done before we got there. Jack loved to lick Lance's whole face and bite on his ears. We left Huntington about 5 AM the next morning and headed into ST George.

ST GEORGE:
We arrived in St George about noon to stay at the Brailsford house. I have said this before but it is so nice to have such a great place to stay whenever we are in St George. We met up with the Palmers and the Conders for the next couple days. The boys golfed and biked while us girls mostly hung with he kids and got in a bit of shopping and lunch. The kids just ran loose and played pool, pet shops, ponies and watched lots of movies.
New Years Eve we got pizza for the kids, take out for the adults and mostly reminisced about the good ol days! It was a great time and we LOVE these families so much! I was terrible with he camera in St George as well=(
I am not sure how everything turned out so great but we had an AMAZING time! A very much needed break from it all. Thanks to all for putting us up and I think we may have to do this more often.
